As you work your way through this site I hope you enjoy what our web master has done. The construction and maintenance of the site is ongoing and changes are made to it virtually every day. If you have anything you would like to contribute, by all means contact us with whatever you have. Our desire is to not only capture the essence of what Basic Military Training is like today, but to also document our extraordinary past. We can only do that through the help and assistance of current and former instructors. We covet your participation, so please do not be bashful.
I consider it a tremendous honor to serve as the President of this outstanding organization. Our membership continues to grow and the future of the MTIA is secure. We are a collection of USAF Military Training Instructors who are currently serving, or have served as basic military training instructors at various bases throughout the United States. We have members who served as MTIs or Tactical Instructors as long ago as the 1950's, as well as a significant number of today's cadre of instructors. Our members served at Amarillo AFB, Lackland AFB, Maxwell AFB, Parks AFB, Sampson AFB, and in one very unique instance, Allbrook AFS in the Panama Canal Zone. In short, we represent a broad spectrum of instructors from every era and virtually every location that the Air Force has conducted basic military training throughout its rich history. Our goals are simple. We desire to provide an organization that fosters the morale, welfare, and esprit de corps of all past, present, and future Air Force Military Training Instructors. Through this organization we endeavor to bring together MTIs from all eras. We conducted our first-ever convention in 2002 and we plan to make this an annual occurrence. I hope you can put this event on your calendar and join us. It is an event you will not want to miss.
Again, enjoy the site and please do not hesitate to provide us feedback.
